I loathe you! Not only did you put me two weeks behind in school but now I can't fit in my new shorts from J. Crew. The shorts are so big not even a belt can fix it. Jeans are so heavy and was looking forward to wearing shorts all winter long. J. Crew is an awesome company and is exchanging them... I just have to wait a week.
xoxo, Finally Feeling Better
PS my birthday is in 13 days! Matt & I leave for the beach in 12 YAY!
You can never go wrong with Navy blue.
Soft graphite-such an odd color but it goes with so much!
I am not one for crazy colors but the light berry is a must!
I have seen this on a few other blogs and decided to give it a try,
after all reading my rants is probably getting old.
A-Age: 18 although I will be another year older on the 23rd of this month. B-Bed size: Extra long single... the glory of living in a dorm C-Chore you hate: Vacuuming, I hate it don't asking me why I just do! D-Dogs: I technically I don't have a dog, although I spend a lot of time at Matt's place and his roommate has a dog Jupiter. I get the best of both worlds, a running partner with responsibilities E-Essential start to your day: 5 minutes more in bed, I don't go back to sleep but rather think of the things that have to get done. It motivates me to get up and be productive early rather then squeezing in things at the end of the day. F-Favorite Color{s}: Light Green or purple just not together G-Gold or Silver: White Gold for anything of value (ie. my pearl ring) but I am a silver kind of girl, once in a blue moon I'll wear gold.
H-Height: perfectly 5"5 amazing for being able to still wear heels. I-Instruments you play: blahaha There is not a musical bone in my body! J-Job title: Full time absorber of knowledge.... student for short. K-Kids: No babies, not for a while! Given that I get a steady job and a healthy marriage at least 2 no more then 5 ideally. L-Live: Oxford, Ms. It's such a small town, perfect for a few college years M-My mom's name:Sandy or Sandra when I talk about her N-Nickname: Peanut, my dad always called me his little peanut, or curly girl, my mom would refer to me and Kelly as her curly girls. O-Overnight hospital stay:I've avoided those so far. Knock on wood! P-Pet Peeve: Last minute plans, I like to be able to plan things out being told about something last minute really bothers me. I can usually work around it but I keep a planner for a reason. Q-Quote from a movie: "A dream is a wish your heart makes when you're fast asleep. In dreams you will lose your heartaches. Whatever you wish for, you keep. Have faith in your dreams, and someday, your rainbow will come smiling through. No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true." - Cinderella R-Right/Lefty:Righty for the most part! S-Sibling: Kelly, my amazing older sister/hero T-Time you wake up: 8:00ish given on the day U-Underwear: It tends to vary on my mood. V-Veggies you dislike:Tomatoes. I loathe tomatoes. But oddly enough, I love tomato soup but can't stand them raw. W-What makes you run late: my hair, I can never tame it and it never wants to do anything, thus the constant ponytail or stick straight flat iron boringness. X-Xrays you've had: Teeth, Wrist, Foot & Back. I have had a few MRI's and a bone Scan too. Y-Yummy food you make:I'm becoming a pretty good baker, no longer burning things so that's an improvement. My mom taught me to make really good pasta salad and a few dinner dishes. Although I can make some mean pancakes and omelets.
Needless to say I got so much done before 9 it is kind of ridiculous.
By 9 am, I have had 2 cups of coffee, a shower, blow dried and straightened my hair,
written a speech outline and had reviewed chapter 4&5 of biology
It is noon and I just figured out all my summer classes and fall classes,
advising only helps if you get it in your major,
side note-
I don't recommend changing majors right before advising.
Needless, to say I am now bestieswith the lady at academic support center.
Not because I am behind but because I am going into the 2+2 program!
What is that you ask?!
I have two years in Oxford taking Gen Eds then 2 years at the Medical Campus for an OT degree
then another year for a Master's degree...
so in five years of schooling I can be a practicing occupational therapist!
Why all the crazyness?!
To save a couple thousand dollars... no big deal!
I know the jive I am on will only last so long but I am soooo excited for two when I can officially register for everything!! Now all I need is a summer job and place to stay in Oxford.
And to finish the pile of make up work that is staring me in the face. This year flew by!
After going full force yesterday on make up work I was forced by those who love me into watching Office Space. It was a cute movie, but now I have a serious case of the Mondays! I have been to all of my classes today even though it is so icky outside and I am exhausted. Plus Alexandra just brought me an all strawberry cupcake which are my FAVORITE. So today is looking up, just trying to work things off of my to do list which has expanded to two index cards (insert mini freak out here!) Oh and all these plane issues that happened this morning is not making me looking forwarded to flying home for Easter, I love my family and would love be alive when I see them next... just saying!
Hope you aren't down with the Mondays but if you do, def netflix Office Space...
If I had to share one regret I have it is drinking after someone one random night... in result I have missed 10 days of class thanks to Mono.If you don't know anything about mono know this, it is the worst sore throat you will ever have. It took 3 trips to the "Quack Shack" (student health clinic) to be able to eat something. Exhaustion does not even begin to cover the awful feeling... so just don't drink after anyone... okay?
Take a page out of my notebook, it's not worth it.
Even when you do feel like you can get out of bed
piles of make up work will send you right back to it.
I am honestly doing my best to conquer my make-up work by Wednesday
this includes and is not limited to:
-Biology Test (chapters 4,5,21,22)
- Trig Test (chapter 5)
-2 trig quizzes
-History quiz
- 3-5 page English Paper
- Speech Persuasive Outline
- 3 Biology Labs
- Academic Advising
and the icing on the cake is
the clinic who said they would summer hire me had funding cuts and can no longer afford any summer hires... so on top of the pain of make up work I need to figure out summer plans.... again.
I promise something cheerful next post, just feeling a bit overwhelmed. But, I will hold my head up high and deal because a smart boyfriend of mine said "it is not the end of the world, work on what you can control and the rest will just happen"
